Hi, my name is Travis Aherin.

I am a passionate woodworker, driven by an obsession with quality.

I make fine furniture and bespoke custom designs. Bringing together artistry, engineering and craftsmanship, I create centrepieces for the home that are designed to be truly unique and built to last a lifetime and beyond.

Introduced to woodwork in my grandfather’s workshop at a young age, and working on superyachts in my twenties, I honed my skills crafting fine wooden furniture in a top Cape Town workshop of an international luxury furniture designer. Developing an understanding of wood as a living, breathing material, my work always seeks to bring out the natural beauty of the timber and allow its own distinctive character to shine.

I established my own workshop in 2021, and am now open for business as Aherin Studio.

Apart from designing my own furniture ranges, which are made to order, I also do commissions and am open to collaborations on custom design projects with wood, with a focus on unique furniture and beautiful design pieces.

My studio workshop is based in Kommetjie, Cape Town.
